Highlands homes for sale in Denver are in a wonderful community of older homes and newer lofts with lots of amenities. Shops, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance. Downtown is a short drive or bike ride away. Sloans Lake is within walking, running, or biking distance for exercise or a picnic. There is a wide variety of property for sale in this Denver neighborhood. Nowadays, this area is most often called “Highlands” but it was known as “Highland” when it was founded in 1858. Highland was a city unto itself. Highlands really refers to a few different areas, including West Highland and Highland that were originally subdivisions within the city of Highland. When Highland became part of Denver, it was known as – and is still referred to as – North Denver. Whatever you call it, Highlands homes for sale are in demand and this area is a great place in Denver to call home.
