Genesee, in Golden, Colorado, is a beautiful neighborhood in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains just west of Denver. Genesee is a neighborhood of custom-built mountain homes with 1,200 acres of dedicated open space. It is located just south of I-70 at over 7,500 feet above sea level.
Homes in Genesee range from around 3,000 square feet to 5,000 square feet. Genesee homes are priced between $500,000 and $2,500,000. Genesee is very family-friendly. There are two community centers with workout facilities and swimming pools including a kiddie pool. There are also tennis courts and racquetball courts. Genesee is a short drive from Golden and an easy commute to downtown Denver.
Genesee is one of my favorite close-in foothills neighborhoods. It’s easy to get to and has great views and open spaces. The neighbors in Genesee are very friendly. You will see deer and elk almost daily in Genesee. Genesee is very peaceful and serene. Genesee is a great neighborhood to enjoy mountain living with easy accessibility to the amenities of metro Denver.
