Front Range Real Estate Market Update, October 3, 2024

In most areas, prices peaked in April 2022. In a few cities, including Golden, Morrison, and Wheat Ridge, prices peaked more recently.

Last month, median closed prices were down significantly from their peak. It’s normal for prices to fall a bit in September, but numbers indicate home prices have declined significantly since the frenzied buying activity we saw with extremely low interest rates from 2020 to 2022.

In Thornton, the median price now and at the peak during 2022 isn’t that much different. Prices seem more volatile in cities where they’re highest, including Boulder, Golden and Morrison.
