Arts and Museums

Take in a performance at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities.  Whether it’s a jazz performance or a children’s musical, each year the Arvada Center offers a varied lineup of plays and musical productions. Moreover, the Arvada Center hosts several fine art exhibitions in its three art galleries.

Open Monday through Thursday from May to September, the Cussler Museum features over 100 wonderfully preserved antique and vintage autos from throughout the globe. Visitors can see a beautiful 1929 Isotta Franchini, a 1911 Locomobile and much more.

Parks

Get out and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine at Arvada’s Majestic View Nature Center. Wander the trails of the 80-acre park and encounter a lake and wetlands, a demonstration garden and a variety of local wildlife. The park also offers a playground, picnic area, tennis courts, basketball courts and horseshoe pits.

Another great choice is Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge, where visitors can stroll along peaceful trails and watch the fish swimming in the ponds.

West Woods Golf Club boasts three nine-hole courses with varying degrees of complexity, and Indian Tree Golf Club has an 18-hole course as well as a 9-hole par 3 course that’s a nice choice for families.
