On Wednesday evenings, October 14, 21 and 28, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., this newest event will have lighted-up jack-o’-lanterns and pathways lined with luminaries that will reveal pumpkin displays that will be larger than life. There will also be scavenger hunts, free face or tattoo painting until 8:00 p.m.,The Story Seeker, a pumpkin silent auction, a pumpkin carver, and other activities, all of which will be included with the admission.
The Offshoots Café will feature two fall-inspired dinner specials, and there will be a cash bar with specialty drinks.
When you attend one of the special events held here, you get a unique experience and also support one of Denver’s cultural landmarks. The Garden, as a nonprofit, relies on a variety of sources including the revenue from special events to fund its operations.
Celebrity Features Cheesman Park
Best-selling Colorado author Carrie Vaughn, age 42, posed for a picture in Cheesman Park, which she chose as the setting for “Kitty Saves the World”, her 14th novel. That will end that series that features her recurring character, Denver radio personality/werewolf, Kitty Norville. Carrie’s interview was prior to her recently reading from and signing copies of the book at the Tattered Cover Colfax.
