Buying, Owning, Managing & Selling Real Estate to Build Wealth
With more homes on the market now than in the past four years, investors are finding more to choose from; it’s easier to find properties that are priced right and make great investments. Many people find that adding real estate to their portfolio helps them diversify while lowering volatility and decreasing risk.
I’ve helped a number of buyers build nest eggs by investing in real estate. In fact, I own two rental properties myself.
If you’re considering real estate as an investment, ask yourself these questions:
What type of property do I want to purchase? Do you want a single-family home, a townhome, duplex or a condo?
Can I afford to buy where people want to rent? For example, can you buy where there are good schools or somewhere near amenities like parks?
Will I pay cash? Or do you need financing?
Can I manage the property? Or should you hire someone else to help?
When will I want to sell? Will you keep this property until you retire?
